A breach in the woods

This is a commission made as a trade in my facebook page, a like for a free commission. they asked me for an artistic interpretation of a photo they sent me.

The request gave me the opportunity to practice some things I am having problems. Rendering, specially with color. For this deviation I started sampling from the original photo until something shapeless was formed. After that an image came to my head and from there everything was rendering the final idea.
